Jazzy says about his present plans, "Presently, I am busy establishing
my company JAZZY CONCEPTS,
which deals with fresh, new & positive concepts, some of which have
become long-running brands by now like the Annual tours of Hip-Hop
Hurray and Mixmasters.
Of course, my performances all around India also keep me busy throughout
the year along with my Thursday & Friday Nights at Espace, the Spa
& Fitness Centre at Raddison MBD Hotel, Noida. Another thing keeping
me busy is my Training Classes for dedicated students who want to learn
the fine art of DJing. Interested people can go HERE

Says Delhi-based DJ Jazzy Joe, "Course are yet to be Institutionalised.
At present there are guidance programmes offered (Including
Joe himself). This courses give a few basic tips and then it's all
about practice."

DJ-SPEAK
According to Delhi-based DJ Jazzy Joe (http://www.jazzyjoe.com)
, currently setting up his own club, `Hotspot', here's what you need:
"You
need to have the passion for music. I love my music. If music was a woman,
I would have married her by now. You need to be able to sense what kind
of music different types of people like at different places and be able
to give them what they like. You need to be able to relate to people,
be colourful but at the end of the day, you have to be YOU."

The
city's movers and shakers haven't had to jive as much for a mexican-mediterranean
fusion supper as they did to the inimitable music of Jazzy Joe at HT City's
First Anniversary Bash at the Raddison on Sunday night.....Jazzy (who
makes MKOP at Taj Palace rock every evening) was there at the turntables,
expertly mixing the music, from foot-tapping Indipop to throbbing Techno.........Raja
Reddy is the Kuchipudi Maestro and Shovana Narayan's preferred dance form
is Kathak, but they sizzled to Jazzy Joe's mix.....

You don't go to Nyx to shake your legs, you go there to stir your soul.
With DJ Jazzy Joe's music concept JAM, acronym for 'Just About Music',
NYX hosts live performers like country singer Bobby Cash, Sufi music by
Sufitronik and jazz by Jenny.
HT City, 12th February 2002
The room and your intestines vibrate to the beat of 'Boom, shake, shake,
shake the room', and a young couple waves frantically to the long-haired
DJ Jazzy Joe. "Mehbooba, Mehbooba", they scream.......(such
requests) outstrip the requests for any english number that Jazzy Joe
recieves every night, night after night. In response to the craze, he
often plays a fusion of pulsating western beat and famous dialogues from
'Sholay', mixed on the spot on his state-of-the-art console.
The Pioneer, 27th February 1994
And then there's CJ's. The hottest grooviest discotheqe in town where
India's best DJ- Jazzy JOE and Delhi's youngest DJ - Nitin, set the feet
tapping and hearts thumping with their mixes and remixes. Every dance
freak can hear it's 10,000 watts of music on 'CJ's Times' - One of the
oldest programmes on Times FM......... With specials featuring Remo Fernandes,
Anamika & The Temptations and many more, CJ's is in tune with the
latest foot tapping scores.
Saturday Times, 19th August 1995
His parents call him....... but you can call him Jazzy Joe........ was
recently crowned the ultimate deejay in the Ultimate Battle of the Deejays
in New Delhi......... so philosophical about his career, which he calls
a regular nine-to-five job. He's not into selling his creativity or chasing
after time and money. The latter will come in it's own good time, he says.
The hotel managment graduate, meanwhile, can live without sleeping but
not without music.
Indian Express, 20th August, 1995
Jazzy Joe Wins 'Battle of DJ's'............... He was the one in the black
outfit and with long tresses. Jazzy Joe of Meridien's CJ's who came in
only at 2:30, to wind up within 45 minutes. The announcement of his name
was greeted with cheers as a surprised Jazzy Joe recieved the award.
Delhi Times, 4th August 1995
City DJ's cut up about cutting their own discs............ "Someone's
strong point may not lie in Studio work," says Jazzy, adding that
some of the most well-known DJ's in the world have no albums to their
credit. Jazzy himself has cut no albums so far even after a decade in
the trade. Being in MKOP meant he was left with little time, but now that
he has 'broken free' from the club circuit, he is working on an 8-track
album.
HT City, 5th February 2001
Columbia Tristar had organised a Spiderman-themed party at the Float,
Park Royal Hotel........ But it was DJ Jazzy Joe who beat them all. No,
he didn't take to the console. Instead, he came dressed in a Spiderman
costume and soon caught everyone's attention.
HT City, 25th May 2002
Winner of the All-India DJ Competition in Bangalore and the Battle of
the DJ's in Delhi last year, Jazzy feels that people go to discotheques
to have the best of both worlds - to relax and dance too. Dance, according
to Jazzy, is Body Expression............... Earlier, he says, there were
a lot of misconceptions about discotheques which were "seen as evil-breeding
places. But, attitudes are changing now. The new generation.........view
discotheques as a place where they can let their hair down and enjoy themselves."
Jazzy contends.
The Hindu, 7th July 1997
Jazzy Joe - the best DJ in town ......... Jazzy has time and again proved
that his performance is the best and he is the winner all the way through.
CJ's farewell on 29th July '95 was also a hit with a turn out of about
700 people and the music nonstop till 6 in the morning. Jazzy took some
time from CJ's farewell party to participate in the 'battle of the DJ's',
and proved that he could keep his fans thrilled even if it meant hopping
from one performance to another. Surely, Jazzy is a DJ to watch out for.
Delhi Midday, 5th August 1995
Last week, the capital witnessed a relaunch of My Kind Of Place, the Taj
discotheque, with none other than Bally Sagoo................ But the
high tech lights and charming nights could do without Bally Sagoo, really.
Jazzy Joe would have been better anyday. Any dancing Delhi'ite could vouch
for that.
The Statesman, 4th October 1996
The annual event on Delhi's high school calender was back......... Mr
& Miss Pepsi High School. to be exact............ It was a rave scene
with Dr. Palash Sen's "Euphoria" performing and the kids mobbing
DJ Jazzy Joe for autographs.
